Getting there

FLIGHTS TO MELBOURNE

In terms of reaching Melbourne from the Asia-Pacific Region, there are hundreds of international flight paths to Melbourne’s Tullamarine International Airport. If you are flying from another part of Australia with a low-cost domestic flight, your flight may take you to Avalon Airport. It is important to understand that Avalon airport is much further from Melbourne’s city centre and AMUNC. It is therefore recommended that all delegates arrive at Tullamarine International Airport.

TULLAMARINE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Taxis

Taxis are available from three designated taxi ranks on the ground level concourse of Melbourne Airport. These are located outside Terminal 1 (Qantas and Jetstar), Terminal 2 (International) and Terminal 3 (Virgin Australia and Regional Express). Taxi ranks are clearly signed and manned by Melbourne Airport traffic coordinators.

Travellers should expect a taxi fare of between $45 and $50 from Melbourne Airport to Melbourne’s CBD (one way). Prepaid taxi fares apply between 10pm and 5am.

Skybus

SkyBus offers an express bus service from the airport to the city centre. This service operates 24/7 including all public holidays. Buses run from every 10 minutes throughout the day.
