Visa Information
All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders, who will normally be issued a Special Category visa on arrival, provided they meet health and character requirements; and permanent residents of Norfolk Island who may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival).
While this section provides an outline of the most common business visas, please note there are many visa options available for visiting Australia. The appropriate visa will depend, amongst other things, on the person’s purpose for visiting.
The information relating to visa options contained here is current as at 16 February 2011. Australian law may change after this time resulting in a change in visa options.
AMUNC2012 is registered at the Department of Immigration’s International Event Co-ordination Network (IECN). The IECN assists event participants by offering free advice on Australian visas. Please visit the IECN webpage for information on being a participant in an event held in Australia. Upon confirmation of registration, you are required to email international@amunc.net and request a letter of invitation. This is an essential step towards gaining a visa to attend the conference.
Delegates are advised not to apply for a visa until their registration has been confirmed by the AMUNC2012 team.
