Socials
In the past, social events have been one of the most important aspects of AMUNC for their bonding opportunities. The ability of socials to provide experiences to unify the delegates of the conference regardless of their opinions, attitudes, or beliefs is keenly noted by the secretariat of AMUNC2012. In the spirit of innovation, we will seek to further incorporate the social events into the conference by having them reflect the theme of ‘Rights, Recognition, Responsibility’.
Specifically, the social events of AMUNC2012 will protect the Rights of delegates to have a good time, facilitate their Recognition of one another and of Melbourne as a hospitable and fun destination, urge an atmosphere of Responsibility at each event with regards to sensibility and sustainability. The social events will also seek to facilitate awareness of the plight of refugees.
In addition, the social events of the conference will showcase the multidimensional nature of the city of Melbourne. The city of Melbourne is noted for its diverse nature, an eclectic blend of wide-ranging cultures that results in a cosmopolitan melting pot of the best that Melbourne has to offer. The social events of AMUNC2012 will lead the delegation on a tour of all that is Melbourne, from the rarely-seen-by-visitors street culture to the top end, dynamism of Melbourne’s great public works, offering memorable experiences for all the senses.
