For those delegates who find themselves inspired by the efforts and exploits of the world’s Non-Governmental Organisations, there is a place for you at AMUNC2012. NGOs address almost every global concern imaginable, advocating for change. From the environmental (such as Greenpeace) to the humanitarian (such as Human Rights Watch) they play an increasingly significant role in the international political system. Within AMUNC2012 representatives of NGOs will have a role at the conference distinct from regular delegates. Upholding the mandate of their specific organisation, NGO delegates will have the freedom to participate in numerous committees to lobby delegates, take part in debate and gain support for their cause. Delegates from NGOs can often play a crucial role in helping to get a resolution passed, amended or even blocked in the final hour of debate.
